My client is growing aerospace engineering company that is looking for an Offline Programmer to join their team. The company has 30 machines and and a growing team of over 100 employees.

As an offline programmer you will be working alongside 2 other programmers using Solidworks and/or Edgecam to write programmes for their CNC milling machines that use Mazak, Heidenhain and Fanuc controls. Additional duties include providing technical support, generating/accessing back up files, and some online programming/setting if required.

This is a temporary to permanent role, meaning that it will start as a temporary, contract position for 3 months, in essence a trial period. Towards the end of the 3 months a review will be conducted and a permanent position offered for the right candidate.

The working hours for the offline programmer are 37 hours a week with an early finish on Fridays. Overtime is available on a case by case basis. The salary is negotiable depending on experience, from £28,000 to £33,000 p.a.

To be suitable for the role you should have experience of offline programming using Solidworks and/or Edgecam and be interested in permanent role. The ideal candidate will be someone who has previous experience setting, operating and programming (online) cnc milling machines but has moved into an offline programming role.
