Production Software specialists support the chief production specialist in supporting manufacturing and production activities, to assist with new product prototype builds and the production of Motor Control products

Job Role:

1. Software support for prototype builds and production conversions

2. Provide an engineering interface with sub-contractors for manufacturing and production activities

3. Contribute to the design and support of production tooling and test equipment

4. Report writing

5. Ensuring that all work is carried out safely

Must have experience and skills in ALL of these areas below:

1. Software programming/ Script Writing (C. C#, Tcl)

2. Electronic test equipment (DVM, Oscilloscope, PSU)

3. Electrical and electronic circuits

Desirable experience and skills:

1. Production processes

2. Assembly of electronic products

3. CAD schematic software

4. Soldering

5. Exposure to working in a production and engineering test environment

6. Computer literate (Word, Excel)

2. Structured individual with good problem solving skills

3. Excellent communication skills and able to deal with all levels of the organisation

4. Must be able to work alone with minimum guidance, but also be able to operate effectively as part of a team of likeminded engineers

5. Demonstrate resilience under pressure

6. Flexibility to travel in UK and overseas

Qualifications required:

1. BSc (Hons) in Computer Science/ Software Engineering, BEng (Hons) in Electrical and electronic Engineering or equivalent. 2:1 or higher grade

Relevant professional experience:

1. Recent graduate for junior production engineer position


Software Scripting and Hardware knowledge, C# would be useful
