Compliance Assurance and Safety Manager – Home Based – Near Windsor, Leicester, Manchester or Leeds.

My Client is looking for a Health and Safety manager who has a strong background in the facilities maintenance of commercial properties and is able work with the client to ensure all compliance is adhered to. This is a full time mobile position working across the UK, however this is a role that can mostly be achieved from home or from as local office. The successful candidate will be required to travel across the UK to different offices to start with to understand the different locations and the work that is needed to bring the offices up to standards within health and safety procedures and compliance. You will need to have a good knowledge of facilities maintenance within commercial properties and you must be passionate about health and safety procedures. You will receive a basic salary of between £32,000 and £37,000 per year depending on experience; you will also receive a benefits package of a company vehicle, Private Health Care, Pension contributions and a Bonus Scheme. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major engineering organisation that will utilise your skills in managing people, risk assessments, budget controls and health and safety.

What you will be doing:
  • Develop a program of health and safety outlook and compliance.

  • Assessing the risk of maintenance programs for engineers.

  • Third party compliance audits.

  • Looking at poor performing areas and establishing ways to improve.

  • Control budgets and sourcing of materials for maintenance programs

  • Chair meetings and briefings with clients.
Requirements of the candidate:
  • Background in Facilities maintenance.

  • Detailed experience of health and safety compliance audits within FM.

  • Must have a passion for Health and Safety and be able to implement new procedures and new ideas to push different offices forward.
