To coach process leaders using recognised techniques to achieve a sustainable high quality output from their processes.

Nature and scope of main accountabilities

•Develop a quality management system framework to satisfy the requirements of a recognised management system standard
•Develop reporting mechanisms to demonstrate the effectiveness of the system and to indicate where action is to be taken at an early opportunity.
•Undertake process audits to establish the effectiveness of disparate and potentially divergent processes and make recommendations for improvement.
•Set realistic and achievable objectives for Process Leaders and implementation team.
•Establish key metrics with process owners to undertake quality assurance of agreed processes.

Purpose and subject of interaction with internal / external customers and key contacts

•Develop a team approach to the implementation, improvement and sustained operation of a certified quality management system.
•Coordinate a team of process leaders to regularly review key performance indicators and metrics to ensure the effectiveness of the management system.
•Regularly review the management systems in line with the requirements of the central steering function.
•Regularly review with General Managers and the Functional Director the effectiveness of the Management System.
•Establish, organise and facilitate any external audits of the Quality Management System.

Challenges with regard to innovation and change

•Proactively identify areas for improvement and independently implement measures.
•Influence all levels of the PA-7 management team without direct line authority.
•Identify areas for improvement in all processes undertaken by PA-7

Qualifications and Experience

•NVQ Level 5 or equivalent
•3 years’ experience in a relevant field or activity
•Highly developed communication & Influencing skills
•Project management skills
•Sound knowledge of all processes that drive achievement of quality targets
•Expert in the use of process management tools and techniques
•Fluency in English
•High IT literacy
