The Fuel Operator / Operations Technician will have a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to:

Tank water draw offs, product sampling, tank dipping, tank roof drains, tank bund draining, jet wash loading bays and bay filters, change bay filters, general housekeeping, skimming of the site interceptor, basic mechanical maintenance including assisting fitters with maintenance or process drain downs, visual tank and bund inspections, fire extinguisher checks, basic admin task (update seal logs, water draw off log, contamination check sheet), winterisation – gritting of paths, safety showers tests, monthly building water temperature tests, fire pump checks, permit preparation. The role will also include some security duties on site (permitting access to site, checking bags, walking perimeter fences etc).

The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of safe systems of work, must be able to work safely without supervision, must be able to consistently produce high standards of work, must have good interpersonal skills, must be competent in the use of standard desktop systems (Word, Outlook etc) and have good oral and written communication skills.

The shift pattern will be 4 days on / 4 days off / 10 hours per day. Weekend work is essential. Full training will be provided. The annual salary will equate to £28,000 per year and uplifted rates will be paid for all overtime hours

Candidates must live no more than 45 minutes commuting distance from Avonmouth and candidates must have a driving license
