Role: Estimator/Quantity Surveyor (Civils)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (Estimate/Negotiable)

Location: Kirkby in Ashfield

We are looking to fill a role for an experienced Estimator/QS for a civil engineering firm based just North of Nottingham. The successful applicant will be able to manage all pricing and surveying on a range of civil engineering works around Nottinghamshire. This particular role features a mix of civil works such as highways, energy, clean water, waste water and drainage in a range of settings (residential, commercial, industrial). This role would suit someone with a background as a Quantity Surveyor or Site Manager. Experience of winning and delivering profitable contracts is also highly desirable.

Previous experience pricing civil engineering projects up to £1 million or more is essential for this role. The role will involve producing estimates, bills of quantities, analysing engineering drawings, organising tender meetings and preparation of contract documents across a wide range of civil projects. This role is for an individual who is comfortable working at both the pre- and post-tender stages.

Job Requirements:
  • HNC/HND or Degree with Civil Engineering background
  • Mix of estimating/QS experience in Civil Engineering, Highways, Drainage, Clean Water and Housing Development projects
  • Ability to secure and deliver profitable contracts
  • Ability to work pre- and post-tender
