As a Water Quality Reporting Scientist at Southern Water you will be at the heart of ensuring we are meeting our regulatory obligations with regards to the quality of water supply. You will be responsible for water quality investigations where there has been an incident, working reactively to deadlines and assisting with decisions in a fast changing situation. You will also be involved in reporting on and advising construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of water supply with a relevant qualification (ideally a Masters in a scientific discipline). Exceptional communication and report writing skills are essential as you will be working with people across the company as well as regulatory bodies and other relevant organisations.

This role offers you the opportunity to join a small but centrally placed team and gain broad business knowledge across many different disciplines. Working collaboratively is key to this role and to be successful you will be comfortable with building relationships and gathering data from across the business.

Why join Southern Water?

Our engineers, scientists, technicians, customer and corporate service teams work together to provide water and wastewater services to more than 4.6 million people across the South East. Working for us, you’ll:

– Play a vital role in your community

– Help to safeguard our natural resources for future generations

– Live and work in a region that includes more than 800km of pristine coastline
