You will be working in a wider team and your main focus will be around process improvement, implementing new changes and new ideas. An aspect of this position will also require you to liaise with suppliers and raising business cases to buy new plant equipment.

As a Treatments Manufacturing Engineer, you will be assuring all manufacturing operations have documented safe systems of work that produce components that satisfy customer requires in terms of product quality and schedule adherence. You will be implementing modern manufacturing methodologies and techniques and will be providing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.

This is a very varied role where you will be working on specific processing and painting projects but may be needed to be reactive and cover other areas when necessary.

* Supporting manufacturing process improvements in the processing and painting area
* Creating business case to release funds for process improvements
* Supplying manufacturing documentation in accordance with company procedures
* Embedding process improvements on shop floor
* Ensuring that machines are capable of producing products to the correct quality standards
* Ensuring all aspects of Safety and Quality are documented and embedded into newly developed manufacturing processes
* Coordinating surface treatment activities in support of current and new product development

Requirements:

HND/HNC/Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent would be advantageous

Experience of working in surface coating facilities

A recognised safety qualification is preferred e.g. NEBOSH or IOSH
