Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Home based (Mainly Central belt Manchester - Cambridge)
Rate/Salary: £28,000 to £32,000
Benefits: Car + 15% Bonus

The Role:
Exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to work for a pioneering engineering technology who have developed, manufactured, supplied and installed instrumentation products across a wide range of industries for over 50 years.

The instrumentation department receives great feedback due to it's very supportive and fair culture, varied role (multiple industries), excellent training and good package with Service Engineers tending to stay with the company for 15+ years.

The role will be home based covering the food and medical industries, predominately within the central belt from Manchester to Cambridge with cover across the UK also involved. You should expect to be working close to home on average 2 weeks in any month.

The main purpose of the role is undertaking visits to customers’ sites in order to provide the following activities on a wide variety of measurement & analytics products:

- Breakdown servicing
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Calibration contracts
- Installation/commissioning etc.,

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experienced field service engineer used to dealing with clients on a daily basis.
- Instrumentation experience having worked in one of the following industries - Water/Power Utilities, Food & Beverage, Chemical & Pharmacy, Oil & Gas is also preferred.
- Full valid UK driving licence and passport will be required

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Food or medical industries would be a bonus
- Qualified to ONC/HNC level in instrumentation, measurement control or equivalent, or recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline. Or other disciplines such as electrical and mechanical with experience in instrumentation products.
