* Provide support to the HS&E team in the development and implementation of the SWS HS&E management system
* Provide HS&E support and advice to teams to ensure that HS&E risks are identified and controlled, and HS&E legislation, industry best practice and guidance are complied with.
* Lead or support HS&E communications to teams, including the development of reports, newsletters, presentations.
* Manage and maintain the HS&E training requirements for the function, in liaison with Learning and Development team.
* Collate and manage HS&E data, identifying trends and producing reports to inform the HS&E team and Management team, and following up to ensure actions are completed.
* Support workstreams or initiatives to enhance HS&E performance, in liaison with supply chain partners.
* Assist the HS&E team to organise, prepare and take minutes of meetings.
* Lead by example by promoting a positive HS&E culture

Key skills/knowledge/qualifications/experience:

* Ideal: Technician member of IOSH (TechIOSH), NEBOSH Certificate in Construction H&S
* Minimum: IOSH Managing Safely in Construction
* Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 or understanding of management systems
* Previous experience in construction or utilities industries
* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills- verbal, written, presentations
* Excellent IT skills- experience of working with Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Powerpoint
* Excellent time management skills, ability to support multiple projects, self starter
