Health and Safety Executive
Onshore Major Hazards Risk Assessor
Salary: £48,132 – £54,781
Location: Bootle
Closing date: 4 June 2017

Boasting extensive knowledge gained in the onshore major hazards industry, your ability to develop methodologies and perform quantified risk assessments have made you a valuable asset in high-risk facilities. But at the Health and Safety Executive, we can offer you a new challenge – one in which your skills are used to ensure all employers are upholding vital standards in their workplaces. Quite simply, when you join the Major Hazard Risk Assessment Unit, you will oversee around 4,000 installations and pipelines across Great Britain, delivering advice on any developments. You will also work with new businesses who are intending to hold quantities of flammable, explosive and toxic substances, ensuring they are putting the safety of their workers and the general public above all else. We need to maintain public confidence in the safety of these facilities, so your consistently good communication skills will be supported by your chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (or your willingness to work towards this).

There are very few roles where you will have the opportunity to make an impact to this extent, so if you’re ready for this unique challenge, we’ve got the ideal role for you.
