Job Title: Fragrance Compounder

Location: Ware, Hertfordshire

Salary: £26,000 after training

Hours: Shift work, pattern 6-2, 2-10, or nights

Position: 1 year FTC, Full Time

The company is a UK based multinational with operations across Europe, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and South East Asia. Their presence around the world allows them to closely watch the global market and creatively respond to new trends. They now have an opportunity to join their busy laboratory assisting in the blending/mixing and preparation of their products.

Each of their solutions is unique, expertly blended, and produced to the highest specifications. They’re able to manufacture fragrances or flavours in quantities large or small, cost effectively, and with great precision. They’re also geared towards rapid response because they know their customers have to be quick to market!You will accurately produce customer orders of flavours and fragrances in a fast paced working environment. This would be achieved by blending a number of raw materials as defined by a product recipe. This will entail following and completing a daily production schedule built to meet customer demand. You will ensure all efforts are made to maintain the efficiency of the department focusing on all aspects of waste. NB Lifting is involved.

Key Responsibilities:

* For maintaining a safe and clean working environment
* Accountable for producing all products to the right quality standard
* On a daily basis, ensure all allocated production orders are met on time and in full
* To report any low or out of stock situations
* Wherever possible look to reduce any of the 8 wastes
* Maintain minimum output of 18 weighs per hour when fully trained

Safety Responsibilities:

* Adhere to all company health & safety, environmental and quality and hygiene processes and procedures, including and not limited to COSHH,PPE, first aid, manual handling.
* Promote Hazard spotting
* Quality Responsibilities
* Support all departments in ensuring all materials are kept in a condition that ensures the smooth running of the production department.
* To accurately follow all production recipes using only laboratory passed products.

Key Requirements:

* Hold a current FLT license
* Have standard level of literacy and numeracy
* To accurately follow documented processes
* A standard level of IT skills
* Team worker with other departments/managers /directors
* Able to interface with supporting functions to ensure full support for the production plan.
* Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with people at all levels;
* Reporting and escalation of issues to senior management
* Proactively seek improvement , problem solving where possible
* Embrace and accelerate change in a fast-paced environment
* Remain focused on priorities while tackling obstacles
* Thrive on challenges and keep a healthy attitude under pressure
* Be reliable, gets things done on time
* Adapt to changing priorities as needed
