Our client is an award-winning leader in biogas engineering and a renewable pioneer in the UK market. Due to ongoing growth, a new role has arisen for a Control Systems Engineer within their Engineering team.

The Role 

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing detailed designs for our client’s renewable energy projects across the UK. 

Specifically, your day-to-day duties will include: 

- Developing new product conceptual designs 
- Creating and reviewing process and instrumentation diagrams, process control philosophies and functional design specifications 
- Developing equipment, valve, instrumentation and cable schedules 
- Transforming tender and construction documentation and drawings into as-built documentation and drawings 
- Reviewing control system performance at working sites 
- Training Operators on control system functions 

About You 

To be considered for this role, you must have: 

- Experience of designing and developing PLC and SCADA systems, such as Siemens Step 7 and WinCC 
- Proven experience of using P&ID drawing packages, such as AutoCAD or Visio 
- A BEng or equivalent 
- Excellent time management and communication skills 
- The ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects 
- A great eye for detail 

Other job titles you might have held could include Systems Engineer, PLC Engineer, SCADA Engineer, PLC Programming Engineer or Automation Engineer. 

Alternatively, you might have worked as a Control & Automation Engineer, Systems Designer or a PLC Software Engineer.
