Controls and Systems Engineer

Bath / Bristol area (With regular travel to the East Midlands regions)

to £45k (negotiable dependent upon experience)

Our client has been established for more than 30 years, and specialise in the provision of bespoke energy and environmental control and monitoring solutions for a diverse range of applications to customers across the globe.

As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly self-motivated and experienced controls and systems engineer professional to complement their established and successful projects team.

Essentially based in the South West (Bath or Bristol regions preferable), you will be flexible to travel as required to customer sites in the East Midlands, and will demonstrate proven control software development skills and previous successful project management experience gained within a technically challenging industrial IT environment, and will undertake both programming and maintaining of various control systems that are operated on power generation sites throughout the UK.

As the PLC applications largely relate to green energy generation and “power on demand” for the National Grid, you will demonstrate proven software development abilities and a detailed knowledge of PLC programming (with experience of Schneider Electric products and Unity programming proving distinctly advantageous although ladder logic skills transferrable across varying platforms will be favourably considered), and you will be expected to manage all technical aspects of projects and possess strong IT experience with both SCADA and instrumentation skills proving distinctly advantageous.

Additionally, the company has a range of its’ own industrial IT products, and your role will also involve helping to provide customer support, upgrades and the integration of client sites to the latest technology standards.

With exciting plans to expand this department of the business further and already looking at other sectors such as renewable energy and clean power generation, this is an exceptional opportunity for a suitably experienced controls and systems engineer to become more involved with cutting edge communications technology.

To be considered for this exciting and varied controls and systems engineer position, in the first instance send a copy of your cv to the Controls Team at Premier Technical Recruitment at controls@p-t-r.co.uk or call us for more information on 01827 68400.
