Maintenance Engineer (Permanent Days) Scunthorpe

to £33,495 + benefits + overtime + call out allowances

Our client has been established for almost 30 years and provide both services and products on a truly global scale. As a result of continued success and a planned programme of continuous improvement and strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated and multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to complement their established and successful maintenance team.

Working on a permanent day’s basis (7am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and a 3pm finish on a Friday), the successful Maintenance Engineer candidate will be tasked with ensuring that all electrical equipment and machinery is maintained and both breakdown repair and planned preventative and routine maintenance is conducted on equipment within the facility, ensuring continued safe operation of the production process in a hygienic manner within budgetary constraints.

Other duties will include (but not be limited to:)

* Ensuring compliance with Company Environmental Policy in accordance with relevant Health and Safety and company Policies & Procedures.
* Conducting corrective actions from internal safety audits in conjunction with the Site Management.
* Working as part of a multi skilled team, ensuring prompt rectification of plant defects ensuring operational safety, output and quality standards are maintained.
* Performing all PPM and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance on site.
* Maintaining spares stocks in an orderly manner and updating the Maintenance Manager of spares utilised
* Completing Contractor Authority to Work when required and ensuring contractors are following the site rules & guidelines whilst on site in accordance with the company procedures and their method statements.
* Ensuring Permits to Work issued when required and complied with.
* Champion the pursuit of continual improvement to engineering, Health and safety, hygiene and environmental aspects of the site.

In addition to a highly competitive package, the company operates a "call out" system, and on each occasion that a maintenance engineer receives a call out, they will receive an additional £20 for each time called out to site as well as overtime whilst ‘On call’ - with a minimum of 3 hour’s overtime for each call out.
