£22,000 - £25,000 DOE + Company Benefits Package

Do you have excellent telephone sales skills and the drive and initiative to build long term sales with our valued timber merchant customers?

We are looking for proven internal sales professional with good administration skills that can sell to existing clients and win new business through their professional approach. They will also be a team player and support the Area Sales Manager.

We are the UK and Ireland's leading distributor of planed strength graded softwood and engineered wood products to the roof truss and timber frame manufacturing industries, as well as to timber and builders’ merchants.

Established in 1983 with our Head Office in Cirencester, we operate as a specialist just-in-time distributor to national customers as well as to regional and local companies.

The company employs 41 staff, has a turnover of £115m+ and sells to manufacturers and merchants such as Travis Perkins, Wickes and buying groups. We have won many awards for our products and services and pride ourselves on our professional and personal approach.

The Internal Sales Executive Role:

The role-holder will sell softwood to an existing customer base of merchants via the phone, building long term relationships with regular trading accounts and increasing sales with accounts that have become dormant.

Experience and Skills Required:

+ Proven telephone sales skills in a customer focussed role both with incoming and outgoing calls
+ Experienced in developing long term relationships with clients
+ Excellent administration and processing skills
+ Track record of selling products successfully
+ Good Microsoft office skills including Excel and Office 365
+ Excellent telephone manner

+ Confident person, able to use own initiative and also to follow processes
+ Excellent professional telephone manner
+ Proven experience in sales and customer service
+ Accurate with good attention to detail
+ A desire to develop personally and have the ambition to build a successful career
+ Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
+ Team player, happy to support their colleagues and ensure projects are completed on time
+ Flexible approach

Remuneration package:

+ Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 depending upon experience
+ Hours of work: 40 per week, 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch
+ Holidays: 25 days per year plus 8 statutory holidays
+ Performance bonus: Annual payments dependent upon company and individual performance. No sales commission or bonus
+ Contributory pension scheme: Generous company contribution
+ Health care and dental cover
