As the Electronics Manager you will lead the electronics aspects of new product development, this will involve hardware architecture, technical design, costing and more. Although you will be leading a small team a big part of your role will be managing 3rd party suppliers and outsourced manufacturing to bring these products to market.

Your role will encompass workign with marketing functions for requirments capture and feature development, leading design & development, improving product lifecycle management and more.

You will be designing products for mass manufacture, as such you will need to be able to design products to ensure they are reliable, efficient, and user-friendly products. An excellent understanding of PCB and component costs, and designing for the lowest possible cost of goods would be useful as well as an understanding of connectivity and Bluetooth.

Key Skills:

* Can devise HW architecture to meet requirements using appropriate technology to meet cost targets.
* An excellent understanding of consumer electronics technology roadmaps/evolution and proposing and designing for future trends and technologies that are relevant to our consumers and markets.
* Experience of power supply design and battery technology’s, ideally within consumer electronics
* Uses advanced SPICE techniques to ensure circuits are modelled against variable parameters.
* Design for EMC
* Knowledge and experience of PCB design and chipset selection for BT and WiFi applications and products, can optimise PCB stack-up design.
* Ability to influence across the team and communicate in clear and simple terms.

Desirable Requirements

* PCB design (altium preferred) .
* Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers for the mass production of low cost PCB’s and systems
* Experience working in regulated industries. (medical ideal)
* Software/firmware experience.
* Thermal design and simulation techniques and tools experience.


* Base salary from £55 000 to £70 000 per year, depending of relevant experience
* Bonus target 20% - 40% max of annual base salary
