The Manufacturing Engineer will compliment and support the Manufacturing Engineering department. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will implement appropriate practices to evaluate production metrics that will lead to process improvement activities, to ensure an efficient manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The Manufacturing Engineer will support production in solving manufacturing or supplier issues and provide initial diagnostic support.

* Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research experiments; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; liaising with suppliers and vendors and soliciting observations from operators.

* As the Manufacturing Engineer you will contribute in the design and implementing all necessary jigs, fixtures and tooling to ensure reliability of manufacture and to support any production process changes.

* Assess and develop production processes using Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement methods.





EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

* As the Manufacturing Engineer you will have HNC/HND Electro or Mechanical Engineering or above
* Experience within a manufacturing environment
* Utilisation of DFM/DFA and FMEA tools.
* Involvement with ERP systems would be desirable
* Understanding of Lean Manufacture and Continuous Improvement and process methodology.
* Able to identify and solve complex technical problems
