The Role:
Responsible for leading the Planning Team and to developing / maintaining Planning systems (Primavera P6 and Ms Project) for the business.

Also for the compilation and updating of planning schedules / programmes for both internal company control purposes and also external client information.

The Planning function shall satisfy the external needs of our clients purchase order requirements and the internal needs of the company to plan, schedule, and monitor the progress of the current workload and advise on future available capacity.

Responsible for the Implementation, Development and Maintenance of the company wide Planning system, encompassing all the characteristics of the product life cycle both Modular and Fire & Blast divisions as required. This will also include productivity reports against budgets as well as Progress Reports.

Producing programmes from our clients / projects outline brief to form an integrated management programme fully resourced, covering all aspects of the product life cycle, ensuring sufficient detail to assist in the interpretation of project target costs.

Initiate quality feedback loops to continuously improve product accuracy and quality, communication on all levels to ensure complete information loops from shop floor to management.

Responsible for preparation, implementation and monitoring of a multi-disciplined works manufacturing programme, utilising bar charts, ‘S’ Curves and histograms in conjunction with the Primavera “P6” Project Management or other Planning related software as is deemed necessary.

Monitoring and coordination of the differing stages of integrated management programmes, advising both management and the project teams of programme risks, opportunities and recovery plans when necessary.

Maintenance and development of various computer-orientated/paper biased production/planning control systems. (MPS)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Expert in the use of Primavera “P6” Project Management / Microsoft Office.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Lead Planning Role.

Detailed knowledge of Oil and Gas / Modular Builds is essential.

Analysing systems, adapting, translating, developing, simplifying or improving existing products or systems utilising a systematic approach to plan and solve problems by developing step-by step processes to achieve goals.
