The company are looking for a Street Lighting design engineer to join their team in EITHER Bedford, Buckinghamshire, Cheshire, Essex or London.

The purpose of the role is to design and project manage lighting schemes within the company contracts.

Responsibilities:

Writing Feasibility Reports.
The programming of lighting work from design through to procuring the contractor for the installation and carrying out site supervision.
Providing design and design management service for lighting schemes.
Delivering of highway lighting schemes in a safe and economic manner.
Engagement with Client and external parties.
Maintaining an understanding of lighting scheme budgets.
Producing both in year and forward programmes.
Providing reports as required by the team manager.
Supporting the Schemes Project Managers to ensure efficient delivery of schemes works.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Good Report Writing Skills.
Degree/HNC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Membership of ILP or working towards.
Experience in writing Feasibility Studies.
Experience in electrical cable design.
Experience in Lighting reality.
Experienced with working with Network Rail and installing equipment on their structures would also be ideal.
Experienced user of AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office software.
Full Driving licence.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
Experience of highways term maintenance contracts.
Experience of managing programmes of highway lighting works.
HERS Registered.
