Responsible for developing and managing a range of efficient administration processes and procedures in order to support the effective operation of the service area.

1 To oversee the operation of an effective customer response and take independent decisions on less routine enquiries.
2 Maintain and refresh established systems and processes, responding to current and future service needs.

4 Assist with the review of relevant business processes to evaluate that they are fit for purpose.

1 Assist in the resolution of customer issues by liaising with colleagues and co-ordinating operational logistics to ensure agreed standards are achieved.
2 Undertake research and information gathering activities and provide management information as requested, including carrying out research projects, analysing results and reporting findings.
3 Undertake a range of financial administrative tasks in accordance with relevant procedures.
4 Ensure that the full range of complex data is accurately and securely maintained and retrieved effectively.
5 Ensure that the use of IT is maximised to enhance quality and efficiency of service provision.
6 Assist with the production of reports, minutes, briefings and presentations in relation to audience specific requirements

1 Responsible for research and investigation to provide comprehensive and accurate responses to all Land Search enquiries within specified deadlines through the computerised Land Charges Register and associated data sources, e.g. planning portal, South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP), CadCorp Mapping System, MIS (Building Regulations Records), Ocellaand Planning index card system.
2 Responsible for providing comprehensive and accurate responses to all supplementary / follow up issues, such as requests for copy documents; Section 106 & 52 Agreements, Tree Preservation Orders, Article 4 Direction and Oil Pipeline enquiries
3 Make provision for effective arrangements for private search companies, solicitors, property owners and the general public to view the computerised sewer maps. We have Severn Trent Water Authority Admin Status, which allows us to view maps on their website
4 Assist in ensuring an up-to-date and accurate Land Charges Register, by resistering and plotting new charges, such as Section 106 Agreements, Tree Preservation Orders, Housing Grants, Right to Buy Applications, Environmental Health and Housing Notices, and updating the originating Dept once done
5 Responsible for researching and compiling CON29 search results, within a set timeframe and providing manual receipts to the customer.
6 Responsible to the Audit Department for full reconciliation of the Land Charges Department income as and when requested.
7 Working independently to prepare quotes for Local Land Charges Search Requests, taking into account parcels of land being searched and optional questions requested. Requesting further fees and withholding results until full payment received.

Business Improvement/planning responsibility

1 Assist colleagues and or external consultants on any specific business process reviews to review office processes and procedures to identify and implement service improvements including the compilation of standard administrative and service related procedures
2 To be actively engaged in project teams for the delivery of service objectives to maximise the use of electronic systems for all areas of the service
3 To attend training courses in the form of WebEx seminars, organised by Northgate (M3 Land Charges System Provider)
