McIver Knight are partnering with a modern manufacturing business based in Yorkshire that provide Food produce to a wide range of well-established national businesses. With their company developing and growing, with brand new state of the art technology recently being implemented, the company has experienced growth and continues to push the envelope with an ever-increasing demand for their products.

A key Part of their growth is the need for a new Technical Manager, who will assist the business in all aspects of technical and Quality related roles working closely alongside other departments within the company and being a key point of contact for clients in order to build relationships and develop the company even further.

As the technical Manager, you will be a part of the senior management team and will be very closely related with the Technical systems co-ordinator and Quality and Hygiene coordinator, which means you will have a massive impact on providing the highest level of technical leadership and have the ability to influence change.

The need for this role is due to the expansion of the company and an internal promotion to a more senior position, showing how development and progression plays a big part of this role and within the company.

You will ideally be:

  •  Degree qualified in food technology, food science or equivalent (BSc)
  •  HACCP Qualification and Team Leader
  •  Lead assessor trained
  •  Working towards BRC standards
  • Experience using Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  •  Excellent customer relationship skills
  •  Have experience using 5S, continuous or Lean Manufacturing
  •  Experience dealing with complex allergen issues
