I am currently looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join a leading design consultancy in their Birmingham office. The role will include working with delivery teams throughout the lifecycle of various projects, providing commercial support and contract administration. 

You will be expected to develop cost monitoring and reporting tools in conjunction with each project and identify risks and opportunities for project managers and engineers to action on. You will also be involved with projects at bid stage, ensuring that programmes and tender submissions are commercially viable. 

The QS will be involved in a number of projects including railway, highways, aviation and a number of other civil engineering packages. It is crucial that you have experience from working on similar infrastructure projects, although there is not an essential requirement for experience within any specific industry sector.

Job requirements:
  • BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree education
  • 5+ years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Working towards RICS Chartered status
  • Infrastructure design and/or construction experience
  • Consultancy experience is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of NEC3 form of contract
  • Highly commercially astute
  • Excellent communication skills
