Our client is the charity that saves lives at sea. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Coastal In-Service Support Manager to join their team in Ireland.

As the Coastal In-Service Support Manager, you will be a key element in our client’s coastal and inland operations. Specifically, you will be working with the lifeboats, lifeguards and flood rescue teams, ensuring our client is capable of delivering their RISE (Rescue, Influence, Supervise, Educate) model. 

Your role will be a mixture of people management and compliance work. You will manage the personnel across a number of different areas and ensure that equipment is up to scratch, suitable to our client’s requirements and enables them to save more lives. 

Providing regional guidance, leadership and direction, you will be a technical leader in the support of coastal operations and will ensure technical elements are prioritised, planned, guided and directed to achieve objectives. 

Additionally, you will manage a maintenance budget, assure support activities and audits are effective and associated actions are completed. You will also oversee and co-ordinate technical training for new boats, equipment and infrastructure, acting as a subject matter expert.

- Considerable experience of engineering systems and experience implementing, delivering and maintaining engineering assurance and compliance 
- Proven experience of managing geographically dispersed teams 
- Considerable experience of strategic implementation and support, along with budget responsibility 
- An engineering degree or MCA Class 1 or RN Charge cert. or equivalent experience 
- A valid driving licence 

Proactive, driven and influential, as the Coastal In-Service Support Manager, you must be a strong communicator, leader and driver of change. A decisive approach will be key, as will a team player mentality and the ability to delegate effectively. 

A NEBOSH (or equivalent) or audit qualification would be beneficial to your application. 

The closing date for this role is the 20th June 2017. Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing the 4th and 5th of July 2017.
