Job Description

Based in Leamington Spa, as Senior Battery Management Systems Hardware Engineer, your primary responsibility is to work as a key part of project delivery teams, leading technical tasks for overall successful delivery of the client projects, by:

1 Providing technical delivery of battery management systems for energy storage projects
2 Providing technical ownership of electronic hardware design, development and validation of automotive electronic system components for high voltage vehicle battery systems
3 Providing technical guidance for on-time and on-budget delivery
4 Working with clients on technical issues

Personal Profile

You are degree qualified in an Engineering or Software related discipline.

You will have a sound engineering background, a number of years of experience of successfully delivering projects in a volume electronics environment either in an OEM or Tier 1 capacity.

1 You have a good working knowledge of battery system architectures and battery management systems
2 You are experienced in the design and validation of high volume automotive production electronics hardware
3 You have experience of electrical component integration (up to 1kV) and design & development of battery management system products and sub systems in a tier 1 or OEM environment
4 You are familiar with the product delivery process, from requirements capture through to design validation
5 You are experienced in compliance engineering to external standards (such as battery handling, EMC, vehicle safety, functional safety ISO26262, etc) and have delivered DFMEA for automotive electronic systems
6 Your drive, positivity and dedication to deliver technically challenging projects compliments your enthusiastic, self-motivated approach.
7 You have strong collaboration, organizational, oral communication, and written communication skills
8 Flexibility on work location and prepared to travel within the UK and internationally on short assignments

Knowledge and experience in any of the following additional areas would be advantageous:

1 A model-based development language, such as Matlab/Simulink
2 Familiarity with laboratory & field development & test equipment.
3 DFMEA for Electrical Systems
4 Hands on experience of working live with HV systems (>50V)
