Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Measurement Team Leader
£12.21 per hour

Main Function/Purpose of the (CMM) Measurement Team Leader Role:

+ Provide day to day leadership and direction for the Quality Co-Ordinators and CMM Operative.
+ Ensure Calibration system is maintained and suitable performance metrics are in place.
+ Ensure all dimensional studies are completed on time and in full.
+ Develop and execute an annual layout inspection plan.
+ Provide assistance to GR&R and Capability Studies.
+ Develop a process to ensure all new gauging delivered to the site has been suitably assessed and verified prior to acceptance.
+ Assist in risk assessments for all measurement and gauging related activities.
+ Management of Gauging and CMM repairs / annual calibration.
+ Manage and maintain the onsite Quality sample room.
+ Develop a training and development plan for the Quality Co-Ordinators – (Plan to include training on gauging, CMM etc).
+ Provide cover for the CMM Operator when required.
+ Develop and implement a dynamic method for gauge storage and identification.
+ Develop standard working methods for Quality Co-ordinators and CMM Operative.
+ Ensure all relevant measurement and calibration records are identified and maintained.
+ Lead the day to day Quality Co-Ordinator accountability meeting.
+ Attend the Weekly Quality Meeting.

Principle Accountabilities:

To lead the day to day activities of the Quality Co-ordinators and CMM operative ensuring that all dimensional studies and inspection requirements for the business are completed on time and in full. To ensure that all measurement equipment for the business is fit for purpose and adequately controlled.

Preferred Education/Experience:

+ Candidates will ideally be a qualified CMM operator with previous experience of working within a high volume, automotive manufacturing environment, coupled with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.
+ Management / Supervisory experience, supported by excellent organisational and communicational skills.
+ Experience with Gauge R and R, Gauge R’s and Capability studies will be a benefit.
+ Experience with excel and word would also be a benefit.
