Matchtech are working with a national company, who due to an increase in their work load, are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer (building services) to be part of their multi-diciplinary design capability, based in Kent.

The company has over 80 offices across the United Kingdom and employs more than 20,000 staff

The Mechanical Design Engineer (building services) will be working with key clients; Kent County Council and the Metropolitan Police on life-cycle replacement and renewal of boilers, heating, pipes etc. across their portfolio of properties including, schools, libraries, offices and care homes.

As the successful Mechanical Design Engineer (building services) you will be suitably qualified, to at least HNC/HND level in a relevant dicipline. you will have strong mechanical design skills in HVAC and H & C water systems. You will be required to do site surveys (80% in Kent area), write feasibility studies, suggest options, do the design and liaise with procurement.

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, reliable and a capable Mechanical Design Engineer (building services), with a good level of experience in the construction industry.
