The position will offer a great opportunity to attain a complete overview of the product through the full engineering life cycle.
The role will involve Systems Integration, covering all aspects of the product lifecycle from requirements capture, test definition, qualification and certification. The team is responsible for all Engineering governance & operational deliveries. Dependent upon the specific position, successful applicants may be involved operationally with solution developments, requirements management, baseline definition, control of change, task management, verification, Supplier management and qualification/certification at all levels, all underpinned by the mandated governance.

Dependent on role, experience/knowledge in the following would be desirable:
- Conduct, coordination of Design Reviews
- Lifecycle Management process
- Weapons Integration
- Qualification & Certification


Main responsibilities will involve:
- To support the Section Leader in planning, co-ordinating and effective delivery of specific products
- To capture and manage customer requirements, translating into lower level supplier specifications/ICDs
- To define qualification requirements and analysis of supplier supporting evidence
- To undertake engineering Supplier Management activities
- To undertake review, qualification and approval activities relative to deliverable and delivered items
- To define Trials requirements
- To generate clearance documentation to support development and production light activities

- Co-ordination of engineering programmes across disciplines
- Compilation of engineering estimates
- Programme Co-ordination
- Generation of Engineering Management Plans
- Generation of Qualification Plans
- Generation of Specifications
- Requirements Capture and Management
- Generation of Clearances
- Supplier Management
- Generation of DDPs
- Risk Management
- Compilation of ICDs
- Product test and trials definition.

The Individual
What we are looking for:
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point excel and Project with essential knowledge in Communication, Team working and Motivation.

Skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Appropriate engineering qualification and experience
- Member of a professional body
- Knowledge of typical product design lifecycle
- Knowledgeable with regard to LCM and its application
- Experienced in risk management, this will include hazard identification, analysis, risk assessment and risk mitigation
