If you are an experienced power professional, used to leading multi-disciplinary teams on global projects, we want to speak to you about joining their growing Generation team as Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties

As part of the Generation team, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects including development and Owner’s Engineer type roles.

You will be responsible for the quality and timely submission of deliverables and coordinate inputs from both Generation and other teams across the business. Working with the project manager you will play a key role in both managing technical input to our projects and ensuring that deliverables are appropriate and fit-for-purpose.

Working with the Engineering Director and Technical Director, you will help broaden and maintain our clients technical excellence in power generation, mentoring their junior engineers to help them fulfil their potential and achieve professional recognition.

About You

Qualification & Skills

Degree qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Chartered Engineer or equivalent

Minimum 15 years’ experience in the power industry including acting as an Engineering Manager or similar role, leading and coordinating multi-discipline teams.

Familiar with all power technologies in an on OEM, EPC or consultancy environment.

Experience acting as Consultant and as Owner's Engineer on both UK and overseas power projects.

Experience of working across all stages of the project lifecycle from project feasibility through the development phase to execution.

Comfortable leading client discussions and chairing meetings on their behalf;

Produce and review proposal documents, man-hour requirements and fee estimates;

Support work winning activities and developing clients;

Strong and concise communication skills, both verbal and written;

Proven inter-personal skills;

Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Project;

The experience and ability to understand, evaluate and explain complex technical issues to non-technical professionals; and

Able to travel in the UK and overseas as required.
