At Southern Water providing the very best quality drinking water to our customers is at the heart of our business. We demonstrate this by complying with the exacting regulations detailed by the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) who are the UK’s guardians of water quality. As the Water Quality Programme Manager you will play a key role in the design, implementation and delivery of the water quality monitoring programme to meet the DWI’s high expectations in addition to our business requirements.

We’re looking for someone who can take overall responsibility for translating these regulations into a sampling and testing plan: implementing a programme of work for water sites and customers, interpreting regulations and operational needs to identify the requirements for each location.

You can really make a difference in this position by managing a small team to ensure we are meeting our regulatory responsibilities and delivering high quality water to our customers.

In order to be a success in this role you will have a strong scientific background tied to an in depth knowledge of the potable water industry. Degree qualified, you will ideally have or be working towards chartered status. Working with people across the company it is essential you are able to communicate and present complex data to non-technical audiences. You will also have a good knowledge in the creation of detailed sampling programmes that meet regulatory and operational requirements.
