Analogue Electronics Engineer - Guildford

+ Looking for Graduate + 2-3 years experience, or equivalent industry experience

+ £30-35,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

+ Guildford based role

+ Looking for experience in Power systems, analogue circuitry, analysing, simulating and test

The vacancy presents the rare opportunity to lead a mixture of work and has significant contribution to mission-critical products:

· R&D and product evolution (i.e. detailed design, schematic capture, analysis, prototype testing)

· Module work package management

· Products include: power system (including battery control modules, power distribution modules, batteries, solar arrays), mechanism drive electronics and propulsion controllers

This is a rare opportunity for an Engineer who relishes variety and the combination of practical contact with hardware alongside analytical design work.

Key Tasks:

· Identification and flow-down of system requirements to the power system

· Delivery of a power system solution that meets these requirements (both from existing products and new products)

· Management and verification of these requirements

· Ownership of the power system and all aspects feeding into it

· System / subsystem level interfacing and trade-offs

· Manage technical solution, supporting design engineers

· Management and delivery of power systems work packages including budget and schedule

· Interface with internal and external customers

· Authoring of technical documents (including test/verification plans, procedures and technical descriptions)

· Creating and updating circuit designs, analysing and simulating performance

Prototype testing

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


BTEC / Degree in Electronics or equivalent

Person Specification

· Positive, enthusiastic, creative

· Self-motivated and able to manage a package of work

· Organised and decisive, high attention to detail

· Flexible and able to work on a variety of projects/tasks

· Ability to work under pressure

Experience & Skills

· Proven industry experience

· Recent experience with schematic capture and simulation software (e.g. Mentor Graphics, OrCAD PSPICE, etc.)

· Excellent inter-personal skills - both written and oral communications; ability to interface with customers and technical representatives

· Good understanding of analogue and power electronics
