Job Title: Building Services Engineering - Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Stockport – Greater Manchester

Established in 1949, the company is a multi-award-winning business that excels in the delivery of sustainable building services design. They are a previous winner of the HVR Consultancy of the Year award and specialise in Digital Engineering which covers Building Information Modelling and sustainable building services design. The company is the largest single office of specialist building services engineers in the North West. They employ over 25 Building Services Engineers and a team of 7 Building and Energy Modellers and REVIT Technicians.

The company is one of the leading practices in the North West, and currently enjoy positions on over 30 regional and National consultancy frameworks, including; Parliamentary Estates Directorate (Houses of Parliament), SBS (National framework for NHS Trusts), EPS (Engineering Professional Services NW), Sports England, Neptune Developments, Trafford Council, TfGM, The Christie, Fusion 21, City West Housing Trust, Procure Plus Housing, Countess of Chester Hospital, Cheshire East Council, and the Girls Day School Trust.

They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join their large and expanding team to work on a diverse range of projects across all sectors, both locally and nationally.

The applicant shall have several years’ experience working within the United Kingdom and be fully conversant with current British Standards, CIBSE Design Guides and UK Building Regulations. The applicant will be expected to work part of a team but also simultaneously have the confidence and ability to work independently on smaller projects. This is a demanding and challenging position, but in return you will be well rewarded with an attractive salary and benefits including mobile telephone, private medical insurance, permanent health insurance (for long term absence) and a company pension scheme. They also cover the costs for personal membership to two professional bodies e.g. CIBSE / IHEEM / ASHRAE. The location of the office is in Stockport where free parking is provided.

The applicant must be proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft XL, and Microsoft Word and also have Healthcare Engineering and Educational projects experience. Working towards or already in possession of a professional qualification such as a HNC / Degree in Building Services Engineering is desirable. Must have a clean driving licence and own a car.
