The Resident Engineer is expected to work with colleagues throughout the business to achieve the best possible result for the company as a whole.

Within area of operation, the Resident Engineer will:

* Be part of an international team of resident engineers on site, supporting our customer on and off site
* Project support for Powertrain and Driver Assistance Systems
* Testing and validating the systems on the vehicle, HiL or test bed
* Troubleshooting on and off site
* Liaison between different customer departments as well as interfacing with our development centre in Abstatt/ Germany
* Participation in international test trips (e.g. Spain, Sweden, USA, …) if required

What distinguishes you?

* Degree in Mechanical, Electronic or related engineering
* Experience in powertrain and/or driver assistance
* Automotive enthusiasm and a solid knowledge of engine and vehicle functions
* Hands on mentality
* Prompt analysis of technical issues combined with solution oriented thinking
* Knowledge and experience in calibration tools e.g. ETAS INCA, DiagRA D, Vector CANape and CANoe beneficial
* Clean driving license and valid passport for EU travels
* Open minded and team player who contributes to a multinational team
* German as second language beneficial
