This role provides advice, coaching, guidance & support to Line Managers & other stakeholders engaged in managing Employee Relations cases. This role is generally the first point of contact for managers and employees for support and advice on matters relating to Employee Relations, which will often be of a complex or sensitive nature. They will promote a positive Employee Relations culture within the business whilst managing risk and meeting business requirements.

The HR Associate will work collaboratively with stakeholders both within & outside of the UK Case Coaching Team in line with UK and Case Coaching CoE initiatives. They will build & maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.

They will be responsible for managing their own case load & prioritising across a broad scope of issues

Case coaching could be provided through a number of means including telephone advice, video conferencing, and face to face. Therefore the role will involve some travel within the UK

* Provide coaching, advice and support to Line Managers in Employee Relations cases across all in scope UK businesses.
* Work in partnership with other members of the UK Case Coaching Team, and others to deliver a timely, accurate and effective Case Coaching service.
* Support other team members to ensure we are providing a collaborative, joined up service.
* Through coaching and support assist line managers, employees and representatives to resolve cases.
* Provide balanced advice that is legally compliant and in line with company policy to managers and employees in order to manage risk.
* Support and manage cases in an accurate, timely fashion ensuring all cases are updated regularly (on the appropriate technology solution)
* Ensure effective working relationships are created and maintained with stakeholders interfacing with the Case Coaching Team, including HRBPs and Trade Union / Employee Representatives.
* Work with key stakeholder groups to continuously improve leadership and manager capability by challenging, influencing and supporting managers in a way that increases their knowledge, understanding and ability to manage ER cases effectively
* Work with managers and employees to attain consistency and compliance across the business.
* Provide support and input to changes and developments in technology solutions, policy & process to contribute to the continuous improvement of the efficiency of the service.


* Broad generalist HR / ER knowledge.
* Experience in dealing with a variety of HR cases, understanding of legal implications.
* A good working knowledge of the Employee Relations environment and framework .
* CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
* The role requires limited travel say on an average of once every other week with a to reduce that on an on-going basis.The travel could be to any UK BAE locations such as Farnborough, Telford, Glascoed, Barrow etc.
