Collaboration with the project delivery team, client teams (including the regional control centre, traffic officer service and the customer service division), as well as some key road user groups will be fundamental to the success of the role.

Key Accountabilities:

* Challenging the traffic management “norm” to ensure the A14 delivers significant improvements to the drivers’ experience of construction projects.
* Having the vision and drive to innovative, develop and implement safe methods of alternative ways of working to improve the customer experience.
* Working collaboratively with both internal project departments, external Highways England departments (as indicated above) and a cross section of road users to ensure all possible options to improve are considered and implemented.
* Reviewing all temporary signage, diversions, on-road messages being used to ensure there are no missed opportunities to improve. E.g. diversion and sat nav conflicts.

Weekly administrative tasks will include;

Provide the weekly update of planned road closures to client press office.

Ensure the project web pages are checked daily to ensure traffic closure data is correct.

* Assist in providing responses to enquiries and complaints received in relation to the on-road experience.

Qualifications and Experience Required:


* Full driving licence held for minimum of 5 years (with HGV experience an advantage).
* Good organisational skills as deadlines could be tight
* Ability to communicate with a diverse audience.


* Minimum 2 years delivering excellent customer service in any field.
* Understanding of highways construction and chapter 8 requirements an advantage
