They want to enter the future even stronger, there team at Goodwood is currently seeking a Bespoke Project Engineer.

You will be managing and delivering all component development activities across the process chain, to ensure on time introduction and integration into bespoke vehicle content. You will be leading project planning of all engineering activities to the required specification in support of tasks assigned by the Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities of the role:

- To manager and carry out development activities (Research investigation, internal patent application, costing, design, risk analysis, test planning and validation, project planning), ensuring product parameters are released on time.

- Financially evaluate bespoke features in line with the relevant budget costs.

- Create, maintain and align Engineering time plans and deliver the project on time to the expected milestones.

- Mediate conflicts within the process chain and implement solutions, escalating to the lead Engineer when required.

- Risk analysis - including risk filters, DFMEA’s and all Legal, Safety and group standard requirements are brought into engineering documents.

- To ensure the engineering design is integrated within the series product packaging without unforeseen effects to the product performance.

- To lead capacity planning of Design Engineers to carry out the design & development of the bespoke components including the generation of BoM, CAD Data, 2D drawings, other specification documents and prepare information for Engineering Release.


- Advanced CAD (Catia V5) competence required.

- A sound knowledge of automotive feature development including development cost estimation, technical feature specification, DFM/DFA, bonding, joining, and fixing techniques, Fabrication, RPT and low-volume production techniques with respect to cost, time and weight requirements and also regarding test planning and development.

- Able to demonstrate the ability to meet the highest of automotive standards with regards to quality, robustness and the avoidance of undesirable levels of NVH.

- An appreciation of and the ability to develop solutions with respect to the required mechanical properties using the selected materials for each feature.

- An understanding of vehicle and component measurement systems.

- Advanced IT skills essential for Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word.

- Ability to self-motivate with a flexible approach to delivering business orientated targets in short project timelines.

- Ability to flexibly travel is required around working hours to visit various UK/European suppliers & there project offices in Munich, Germany.
