Laboratory Field Service Engineer and Laboratory Calibration Technician

What is the role of a Field Service Engineer and Calibration Technician?

The role as a Field Service Engineer and Calibration Technician involves the daily service, calibration and repair of scientific equipment, primarily high precision, analytical weighing equipment, at customers’ sites in the UK.

You will be responsible for your own laboratory clients based in the assigned territory, covering the West Midlands.

As the Field Service Engineer and Calibration Technician, you will also be required to plan and organise your own field work based on a monthly schedule, report regularly to Service team with regards to work scheduling, progress of work and necessary actions/follow-ups required, and promote service capability and support service business growth and expansion

While titled Field Service Engineer and Calibration Technician, this role would also aliken to that of a Calibration Engineer or Service Technician.

What is required for the role of Field Service Engineer and Calibration Technician?


Prior experience using lab equipment within a laboratory environment e.g. as a Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Analyst, QA Analyst, QA Technician, QC Analyst, QC Technician, Microbiologist, Research Technician, Research Associate etc.

Willingness to travel as part of a field based role

UK driving licence

Living in or around the West Midlands
