Principal FPGA Engineer



A world leading Aerospace and Defence organisation have an exciting opportunity to work with leading, innovating cutting edge projects with a very experienced diverse team.



As a Principal FPGA Engineer you will be a be a member of a dedicated expert team responsible for the design and verification of digital electronic solutions with a huge focus on FPGA’s and PLD’s.



Key Responsibilities -



+ Providing technical excellence in the development and delivery of all aspects of digital designs, with a focus on PLD / FPGA development from requirements development, concept and detailed design, coding, synthesis and through to complete verification.

+ Understanding and actively manage FPGA design impacts on wider product engineering disciplines.

+ Managing work packages within schedules and budgets.

+ Developing and coaching junior Engineers.



Skills and knowledge required –



+ Extensive proven experience and knowledge of PLD / FPGA technologies, design and verification tools and techniques.

+ Experience in working in and leading small teams through development lifecycle, with good appreciation of cost and schedule constraints on designs.
