Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias

My Client is looking for a Multi Skilled Electrical Facilities maintenance engineer with a strong background in the maintenance of commercial buildings. This is a full time static position working in the NOMS Estates services and maintenance team in Send Prison. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major engineering organisation that will utilise your skills within the maintenance of electrical appliances and would be looking to pay a salary of £30,000 plus private health care, pension scheme. The successful candidate will be conducting planned and reactive maintenance on electrical appliances such as lighting systems, power distribution and fire alarms and will need a good working knowledge of mechanical equipment such as air conditioning units and plumbing systems.   

What you will be doing:
  • Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems within commercial buildings.
  • Small Installation works on new equipment when required.
  • Diagnose and repair faults to equipment.

Requirements of the candidate:

  • 17th edition wiring certification is essential.
  • Over 5 years’ experience working in facilities maintenance.
  • City and Guilds testing and inspection certificate.
  • Working knowledge of High and Low Voltage installations.
