We are currently working with a specialist Civil Engineering consultancy for Senior or  Principal Geotechnical Engineering position working on Rail infrastructure schemes, being office based in Birmingham. This will be building and growing their Geotechnical capability which would include team management, project delivery and work winning.   

This is an excellent position for an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer looking to take up that next step into technical management. Typical schemes and projects that you could be involved in could be, earth works design, piled foundations, gravity retaining walls, reinforced soil slopes and walls amongst others, being involved in such rail project as the Oxford Corridor, GWEP and Oxford Station. This would be a great opportunity for a technical engineer to hone in into their managerial skills as you would mentor and supervise the junior Geotechnical Engineers, and business develop in winning work and liaising with clients.  As you will mentor junior engineers, a candidate with a strong technical background is required. 

This could be an ideal opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer looking to make that next step into management. 

Job Requirement

  • Ideally experience working on Geotechnical Design schemes on rail projects
  • Chartered or working towards chartership
  • Knowledge of the relevant UK standards in regards to Geotechnical Design
