A market leading engineering / manufacturing company are now looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their Operations Team at their brand new facilities in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategically thinking QM to lead the transition of the ISO9001:2008 to the ISO9001:2015 standard and lead, guide and manage the quality function.

Within this role you will:

* Transition of the ISO 9001 : 2008 to the ISO 9001 : 2015 standard.
* Maintain and continually improve the quality management system.
* Advising on QA system changes and their implementation when necessary and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve the required levels of quality.
* To be a leader and mentor of APQP and PPAP requirements and implementation.
* Maintain the Quality KPI and implement corrective actions where there are issues.
* Drive customer PPM value down to tight targets. Improve communication of quality issues.
* Manage and support a small team of engineers and inspectors.

Experience and skills required:

* Confident, enthusiastic, pragmatic and proactive approach to delivering quality improvements across all functions.
* Extensive experience related to quality methods, tools and techniques and formal quality systems.
* Sound understanding of ISO 9001 2015.
* Line management experience.
* Good knowledge and application of best practice methodologies eg. Six Sigma, SPC and root cause analysis.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to liaise with staff and customers.
* Good practical experience of metrology, CMM and first principles inspection. (not essential)
