A Software Design Engineer is required by an innovative market leader in the field of Scientific Instrumentation technology. This global company work on truly cutting edge equipment and are looking to grow their Software capability to continue their product development.



Role: Software Design Engineer

As Software Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

+ Working within an Agile team to develop high quality functionality to agreed specifications
+ Using our internally defined software design methodologies and tools to develop robust software components and systems
+ Be an active member of the software team, participating in software design reviews and in discussions and trials of new tools and techniques
+ Provide and update appropriate documentation that facilitates others to further develop or maintain the software and systems that you produce, and enables your internal customers to do their work
+ Take responsibility for co-ordination of technical solutions within specific software development projects

Experience:

As Software Design Engineer you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant Scientific or Engineering discipline
+ Experience in PC based software developments using C# and Visual Studio
+ Experience working in a product development team
+ Experience with tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, a source code control system, a bug or issue tracking system, profilers and debuggers
+ Experience with WPF/WCF, Prism/Composite Application, and multi-threaded code
+ Experience of developing complex software applications for high tech instrumentation
+ Experience using Microsoft TFS
+ Experience working proactively with all members of a multi-discipline team to efficiently develop new products and introduce them into the organisation
+ Experience working within a highly technical environment or with complex capital equipment would be advantageous
