Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience

Position: Full time 37.5 hours, Flexible Mon - Fri

Reports To: Advanced Technology Group Director

Their industry-leading technologies have helped organizations across the world increase their productivity and have also significantly reduced the total cost of ownership. Their coding and marking products and services versatility gives them the ability to integrate into the production lines of a wide variety of industries – including the food industry, the beverage industry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, automotive, cabling and electronics.

Job Summary

Creating new technology and product ideas in collaboration various product planning teams. Developing the ideas with the greatest customer appeal and profitability into feasibility models and ultimately into working prototypes that can be considered for further development into saleable products by the engineering teams. The projects are likely to be adventurous and high risk, the candidate should be comfortable with uncertainty and display above average levels of initiative to overcome or circumvent problems.

Components and systems to be designed built or sourced and tested using theoretical knowledge, CAD tools, some workshop skills and experimental process as an individual or most likely in a cross functional team.

Good Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical engineering.

Diversity of Projects in a research and development environment, application of theoretical skills.
