A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Director has now arisen to join a global leading engineering simulation software company. You will be responsible for growing and maximises revenues from existing customer accounts and internationally targeting approaches to strategic Aerospace & Defence prospects as well as over time, building a team of field sales staff focused on this industry.

Main responsibilities:

* Oversees an assigned geographic area or product/service line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
* Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
* Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products/services.
* Provides assessments of field sales staff productivity.
* Coordinates appropriate company resources to ensure efficient and consistent sales.
* Conducts long-range studies of changes in sales and strategies.
* Instigates and successfully navigates the customer buying process to close business
* Hires, coaches, reviews, rewards, motivates, disciplines, and terminates field sales representatives.


* Engineering related or business qualification
* 10 or more years of sales experience with at least 3 years selling engineering or manufacturing related solutions into Aerospace & Defence.
* Experienced in running strategic / major accounts, able to build relationships and engagement at multiple levels in an account.
* Track record of closing software orders > £500K.
