Job Title: Production Control / Outbound Logistics Assistant

Location: Middlesbrough

Salary: Competitive

Position: Fixed term contract of 15 months. Full Time 7am to 4pm, though additional hours may be required as per the needs of the business

The company is a multinational Chemical Manufacturing business that provides their customers with a world-class service and advice on creating products to their specific requirements. Their Chemical Manufacturing Plant in Middlesbrough is now looking for a Production Control / Outbound Logistics Assistant to work in their Operations Team.

This is a busy role which would be best suited to a hardworking individual who is willing to go the extra mile.

Key Responsibilities:

* To assist the Office Manager in implementing a 5-day fixed production plan to ensuring all customer demands are met.
* Create efficient daily loads and all relevant paperwork and labels.
* Monitor the progression of each load throughout the day and help resolve any issues.
* Raise all relevant works orders/labels for the correct safety/customer order levels.
* Ensure all raw materials/packaging is available to complete all relevant orders for the required production dates.
* Control, maintain and monitor physical stock levels via the company computer system in a timely and accurate manner. This function should be carried out in conjunction with Business Directors and the operational needs of the business.
* Liaise with PD Supervision to correct any shunt/return to site stock anomalies.
* Organise/arrange Tank Dips and count stored packed products as necessary and report any variances.
* Keep Site Manager and Group Operations Manager fully informed on stock related issues.
* Plan and participate in any stocking taking requirements across both sites, working alongside team leader/supervisors from each area, ensuring accurate data is gathered.
* Ensure all purchase orders and works’ orders receipted onto the computer system are checked against the paperwork received in the office and report any variances.
* Assist with operational duties as and when required in order to meet customer deadlines or requests.
* Provide suitable cover for production planning function as required (annual leave etc).
* Provide cover for other office based administration functions as and when required.
* Ensure operations comply with all relevant Legislation, Industry Codes of Practice and Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
* Must be fully conversant with and take responsibility for those sections of the company’s Integrated Management Systems in which they are involved.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the role the company will not be providing relocation or sponsorship packages and will therefore only be accepting candidates who are eligible to live and work in the UK.
