Our client has been established for more than half a century and specialise in the design and manufacture of an array or electronic solutions for supply to many Blue Chip clients across the globe, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated Process and Development Engineer to complement their established and profession PCB Assembly team.

Tasked with undertaking the Maintenance, optimisation and implementation of the circuit processing machinery as well as supporting the New Product Introduction process by providing tooling for manufacture, the successful Process and Development Engineer will also be responsible for developing associated plans and documentation to ensure seamless NPI whilst supporting all continuous improvement activities in respect to equipment and processes, ensuring the correct balance between cost, quality and output is achieved.

You will also be responsible for providing day to day technical assistance within the assembly areas, ensuring that safe working practices are in place and adhered to, and maintaining accurate data on the Company’s MRP system (Focus).

To be considered for this varied and challenging Process and Development Engineer role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least ONC level in Production Engineering or other relevant engineering and technical subjects such as Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and will essentially demonstrate substantial experience in PCB manufacturing, including some experience in the introduction of new products.

You will possess the capacity to thrive in a demanding and often pressurised dynamic environment tasked with meeting project deadlines, with strong IT skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

With general knowledge of IPC 610, you will also be skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and will possess strong analytical and problem solving abilities along with a flexible approach and excellent communication skills at all levels.
