A Network Engineer is required to join a busy team working on a major Networking and End User Computing transformation programme that will see you migrating from on-premise infrastructure to cloud based services.

Role: Network Engineer

As Network Engineer you will be responsible for:

+ Implement change to WAN/LAN using low-level designs in alignment with architecture principles and standards

+ Establish and maintain adequate backup and recovery for all network devices
+ Work with network service team and vendors to provide network problem analysis, identification, and resolution of complex issues
+ Develop and maintain production network/server capacity plan so that capacity can be forecasted and equipment changes planed with minimal impact to users
+ Demonstrate a solid understanding of the underlying Platform to our internal customers
+ Communicate with leadership teams on project requirements, status, obstacles and team performance
+ Ensuring all changes to the network are documented through Change Management Process

As Network Engineer you will have experience of:

+ Degree Qualified or equivalent in Computer Science or other relevant discipline
+ Strong IT background within the Enterprise/Networking space
+ In-depth understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP
+ Practical Experience with Cisco IOS and network management
+ An understanding of networking protocols related to LAN Switching, BGP Routing, Protocol Tags, Tunnels & NetFlow
+ Competent with the Linux operating system and based services
+ Demonstrable experience in translating high level technical architectures and service design requirements into a clear and coherent low-level designs
+ Advanced knowledge of WAN connectivity, transport types and protocols, including Ethernet point to point and VPN technologies
