We are currently working with a major Engineering Consultancy based in Birmingham looking for a Rail Team Manager to manage the team of 9 Rail Civil Engineers strong, whom are looking to expand. You will act as the Contractors Responsible Engineer on different major Network Rail project, with such projects that you could gain exposure on, but not limited to, Great Western Route Modernization, East Coast Mainline and Gatwick Station. This could be a fantastic opportunity for a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer looking to take that next step into a Team Leader position within a technical Rail Civil Design environment working on multidisciplinary projects.  

Within the role the principal accountability would be to lead and direct teams of civil engineers, graduates and technicians involved in producing engineering surveys, designs and studies for railway infrastructure projects.  This would be great opportunity to join a growing an expanding team whom have exciting plans for growth, in which you’ll be at the forefront. 

Job Requirements
  • Ideally either IENG or CEng from either institution
  • Experience in managing/growing a team of Engineers
  • Ideally 5 plus years’ experience in rail
  • To have come from a Design Engineering background
