The Estates Directorate, Management team are responsible for: 
•    Estates Engineering and Contract Management.
•    Operational Estates Management.

Our teams consist of highly skilled and dependable professional staff who operate and maintain modern compliant teaching and research facilities based at Manchester and remote sites.

The University is about to enter the next phase of its exciting multimillion pound strategic master plan. This will include the building of even more exciting Teaching and Research purpose built facilities for world class professionals for the best possible student experience.

Our new matrix maintenance strategies will provide new ways of working and innovative thinking, attracting the most talented individuals to work in a modern Digitised University Estate.

Role
We are currently recruiting for multiple Electrical Engineering Technicians.  You will be responsible for the installation, Statutory and Planned Preventative Electrical maintenance and repair of a wide range of specialist Electrical plant, teaching and research equipment and systems across the University.

Within this role you will provide specialist support to enable Faculties and Departments to deliver high quality customer focussed services and a safe stable environment for staff and students.

Ideal Candidate 
As the successful candidate, you will have a proven experience to diagnose, using engineering principles, malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem using professional knowledge and techniques.

You will use the relevant Planned maintenance management systems to update and complete work requests in a timely manner, keeping customer informed of progress and any issues, in line with service level agreements.
