A Lead Systems Engineer is required to join a Linux Systems Engineering team responsible for delivering cutting edge technology and services to the Aviation industry.



Role: Lead Systems Engineer
As Lead Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

+ Understanding the interactions and inter-dependencies of different system components and ensure they result in a coherent and compliant released solution

+ Planning and coordination of releases and tracking what changes have been released to each customer

+ Managing releases through their lifecycle - from planning, through dev, test, and release. Ensure releases meet customer requirements and quality assurance criteria

+ Oversee and lead system integration activities such as software integration, lab infrastructure, hardware rack design, rack installs; ensure all changes are appropriately documented; ownership of the lab infrastructure and its setup; ensure changes are fully and properly documented

+ Update design documentation based on agreed system changes



Experience:

As Lead Systems Engineer you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
+ Expertise in Linux Sysadmin

+ Expertise in software release management

+ Experience in Virtualistion

+ Experience in Networking

+ Experience with system design, planning, etc

+ Team leadership/Management experience
+ Any experience working within the Aviation industry would be advantageous
